This Cookie Policy explains how Karram Notaries, the trading name of Yara Karram, Notary Public, uses cookies and similar technologies on www.karramnotaries.com, in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR. 1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way. Some are needed for a website to work; others are used to measure advertising and are only set with your consent.
2. Strictly necessary
These are always on, because the website needs them to remember your cookie choice. They do not identify you.
- kn-cookie-consent (local storage, set by this website): records whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. It stays until you clear your browser data or change your choice.
3. Advertising measurement (only with your consent)
We advertise with Google Ads. If you accept cookies, Google's tag sets cookies that let us see whether a visit that started from one of our adverts went on to contact us: by sending an enquiry form, clicking our email address or calling the number shown on the website. We use this only to measure and improve our adverts. We do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors.
- _gcl_au (Google, 90 days): measures how adverts lead to enquiries.
- _gcl_aw (Google, 90 days): stores the advert click identifier when you arrive from a Google advert, so a later enquiry or call can be linked to that advert.
Google may also set its own cookies on its own domains (such as google.com and doubleclick.net). Google's use of that information is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
If you reject cookies, none of these are set. Google may still receive basic, cookieless information that a page was viewed or an enquiry was made (such as the time and browser type), without anything being stored on your device, and with advert click identifiers removed.
4. Other services
The website uses Google Fonts to display its typefaces and Web3Forms to deliver enquiry forms to us. Neither sets cookies, though, like any web request, they receive your IP address in order to work.
5. Changing your choice
You can accept or reject advertising cookies at any time using the link, also found at the foot of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings; if you do, you will be asked again on your next visit.
